VOLUNTEERS ON THE RUN 5K IN ANNAPOLIS

Junior League of Annapolis, Inc. and Sponsors Support 5K Run

Annapolis, MD [August 1, 2011] – Junior League of Annapolis, Inc. invites the community to participate in its fifth annualVolunteers on the Run 5K at the Red Maple Pavilion at Quiet Waters Park in Annapolis on Saturday, October 15, 2011 at 8:30 AM. The event is sponsored by Mairead M. O’Reilly, DDS, MS Orthodontics. Online registration for Volunteers on the Run 5K is available at www.active.com. Proceeds from the event support Junior League of Annapolis, Inc.’s programs for Anne Arundel County women and children.

This is a family friendly event for racers, runners, and walkers. Prizes will be presented for the following age groups: 10 years & under, 11-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60 & over. Random post-race prizes will also be awarded for runners present. All children will receive participant ribbons. A special children’s 100-yard dash will take place before race time. More than 300 participates took part in last year’s event.
