SEEKING NOMINATIONS FOR $900 VOLUNTEER AWARDS

Junior League of Annapolis seeking women volunteer award nominations

Annapolis, MD [March 7, 2008] –Junior League of Annapolis, Inc. (JLA) is asking for nominations of women who have dedicated themselves to community service in Anne Arundel County, for the Excellence in Volunteerism Award, through March 31, 2008 to receive a prize of $900 toward their nonprofit charitable or volunteer organization at an award ceremony on Wednesday, April 16, 2008.

This program honors women who contribute valuable time and energy to organizations and community programs in Anne Arundel County. The award is based on the nominees’ contributions to family support, arts, education, elderly, drug and alcohol abuse, environment, hospice efforts, disabled citizens, multi-cultural groups and civic associations, among other areas. In order to be eligible, the woman nominee must currently live and volunteer in Anne Arundel County. Recipients are selected by a panel of judges consisting of previous winners and members of Junior League of Annapolis, Inc., Community Advisory Board.
