Last month hundreds of amazing Junior League members and their families, friends and other running fans in the Annapolis community ventured to Quiet Waters Park to participate in our annual Jennifer Summers Barrett Memorial Volunteers on the Run 5K event. This family friendly walk/run was full of animals, strollers and supportive JLA spouses.

This event is a favorite among many JLA members and this year we were especially honored to host the event in memory of member and dear friend to many junior leaguers, Jenn Barrett. We would like to give a special thank you to her family for participating in this year’s race and helping us honor the memory of Jenn.

We would also like to give a special shout out and thank you to our amazing sponsors, especially Dr. Mairead O’Reily for her continued dedication and support of Volunteers on the Run. Thank you as well to Fleet Feet of Annapolis for hosting our Packet Pickup and to 1st Mariner Mortgage for also sponsoring this fantastic community event.
