Junior League of Annapolis and Whole Foods Market Annapolis Host Healthy Event for Kids

Annapolis, MD [February 18, 2008] – As part of national nutrition month, Junior League of Annapolis, Inc., and Whole Foods Market Annapolis invite the community to attend a Kids in the Kitchen event on Saturday, March 8, 2008 from Noon to 3:00 PM at Whole Foods Market located at Annapolis Harbor Center on Solomon’s Island Road, in Annapolis, Maryland.

Join us for a fun-filled afternoon of easy-to-make healthy cooking demonstrations, food tasting, healthy recipes, shopping guides, and tips from a registered dietician. These free, hands-on activities will educate parents and children about nutritional choices and how to prepare healthy meals and snacks that are tasty and affordable.

Kids in the Kitchen is a nationwide Junior League initiative that focuses on combating the problems of poor nutrition and childhood obesity. Year round, the JLA develops programs for County children that involve food tasting, healthy snack preparation and nutritional information.
