JUNIOR LEAGUE SEEKS NOMINATIONS FOR VOLUNTEER AWARD
Junior League of Annapolis, Inc. To Recognize Women in Community Service

Annapolis, MD [March 16, 2010] – Junior League of Annapolis, Inc. (JLA) seeks nominations for the Excellence in Volunteerism Award to recognize women who have dedicated themselves to community service in Anne Arundel County.  JLA is accepting nominations through April 7, 2010.  The winner will receive a donation of $750 toward her nonprofit, charitable or volunteer organization of choice.  The award will be presented at a ceremony in April 2010.

This program, initiated in 1992, honors women who contribute valuable time and energy to organizations and community programs in Anne Arundel County. The award is based on the nominees’ contributions to family support, arts, education, elderly, drug and alcohol abuse, environment, hospice efforts, disabled citizens, multi-cultural groups and civic associations, among other areas. In order to be eligible, the nominee must be a female, and currently live and volunteer in Anne Arundel County. Recipients are selected by a panel of JLA members.
