Nationwide Event for children at the Boys & Girls Club of Annapolis

Annapolis, MD [September 12, 2007] – The Junior League of Annapolis, Inc., will participate in the Boys & Girls Club national Day for Kids by hosting a craft table, story reading, and Kids in the Kitchen demonstrations on Saturday, September 15, 2007, from 10:00 AM until 4:00 PM at the Boys and Girls Club of Annapolis, 121 South Villa Avenue (Bates Complex), Annapolis.
The Day for Kids is a national Boys & Girls Club initiative that gives children of all ages and their parents the opportunity to spend a day together enjoying free fun activities. They can also learn about what the Annapolis community has to offer to youth and their families.

The Junior League of Annapolis, Inc. will host a craft table, Children’s Literacy Committee will have story time, Juvenile Justice Committee will host a teen activity, and It’s Elementary! Committee will have two “Kids in the Kitchen” demonstrations including an activity for teens. Kids in the Kitchen is a national Junior League initiative which aims to combat the problem of childhood obesity by teaching children healthy eating habits. Over 300 children local are expected to attend.
