The JLA Begins Its 15th Annual Search for Women Who Dedicate Themselves to Community Service

Annapolis, MD – [March 8, 2007] – The Junior League of Annapolis, Inc (JLA) will be accepting nominations of women who have dedicated themselves to community service in Anne Arundel County, for the Excellence in Volunteerism Award, through March 31, 2007 to receive a prize of $900 toward their nonprofit charitable or volunteer organization at an award ceremony on April 20, 2007.

This program honors women who contribute valuable time and energy to organizations and community programs in Anne Arundel County.  The award is based on the nominees’ contributions to family support, arts, education, elderly, drug and alcohol abuse, environment, hospice efforts, disabled citizens, multi-cultural groups and civic associations, among other areas.  In order to be eligible, the woman nominee must currently live and volunteer in Anne Arundel County.  Recipients are selected by a panel of judges consisting of previous winners and members of the JLA Community Advisory Board.
