JLA Partners with Annapolis Holiday Cheer and Evolutions Body Clinic to Host December 3 Party for Area Foster Children

Annapolis, MD [November 10, 2006] – By December 3, the Junior League of Annapolis, Inc., in partnership with Annapolis Holiday Cheer and Evolutions Body Clinic, will have collected more than 900 toys for area foster children.  Those toys will be distributed at the Second Annual Jingle Bell Jubilee, which will once again benefit the families of the Anne Arundel County Foster Parent Association.

The JLA is conducting toy drives for the children ages 0 & 11.  The toy drives will take place on Saturday, November 11 at Kmart in Crofton; Sunday, November 12 at Kmart in Pasadena; and Saturday, November 18 at Kmart in Edgewater.  Additionally, BeBeep a toy store, has graciously allowed the League to place a tree with ornaments in its Severna Park and Annapolis locations.  Shoppers are encouraged to take an ornament and purchase a gift for the foster child named on it while shopping in either store.

Through a coordinated effort led by Annapolis Holiday Cheer, Evolutions Body Clinic will once again post ornaments at its location on George Avenue in Annapolis.  Last year, members of Evolutions contributed more than 500 gifts to the cause.  A wrapping party will be held on Friday, December 1 during Evolutions™ Holiday Party for its clients.  The party will be catered by Main Ingredient of Annapolis, who is also generously donating lunch for the Jingle Bell Jubilee on December 3.

The JLA is planning a festive afternoon filled with exciting entertainment, fun holiday activities, delicious treats and, of course, a visit from Santa!   National Mrs. Maryland, Ginny Meerman, will be in attendance to greet guests as they arrive.  Activities will include several make-and-take holiday crafts, a caricaturist, Bryan Turner, and a face painter, Melissa Misch.  Finally, our guests will be able to enjoy holiday carolers, a strolling magician, Hugs the Clown, and a performance donated by Harbor City Music Choir.
