JUNIOR LEAGUE OF ANNAPOLIS, INC. TO HOST MONTE CARLO NIGHT AT THE LOEWS ANNAPOLIS HOTEL
Black Tie Optional Event to Benefit Programs that Support Women and Teens in Anne Arundel County

ANNAPOLIS, Md. —December 19, 2012—The Junior League of Annapolis, Inc.(JLA) is an organization of women committed to improving the lives of women and teenagers in Anne Arundel County. In order to accomplish their local mission, JLA hosts community-focused fundraisers. On Friday, April 5, 2013 from 7:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. at the Loews Annapolis Hotel, JLA will host Monte Carlo Night, a casino-themed charity affair. Open to the public, all proceeds from Monte Carlo Night will directly benefit JLA’s community impact programs.

Guests attending the black-tie optional event will enjoy the thrill of staffed casino tables and games, a silent auction, and raffles with the chance to win wine, travel, jewelry, among the many amazing other items and opportunities. Additionally, the event will include cocktails and food tastings—all while raising important funds.

A registered 501(c) 3 organization, JLA is a group of more than 300 trained volunteers whose focus is to bridge the poverty gap in Anne Arundel County. Currently, Sarah’s House and Center of Help are the focus of our community impact projects and the causes that the majority of our yearly funds are supporting. Helping Hands is a program that helps children from non-English speaking households to integrate into their English speaking classes in school. Our program with Sarah’s House assists homeless women develop life skills so they will increase their chances of succeeding on their own after completing the rigorous SHINE program. This program focuses on self-awareness, decision-making skills, and parenting skills.
