Annapolis, MD – [September 4, 2009] – Junior League of Annapolis, Inc.’s 16th annual Book Bag Project donated 1,000 book bags filled with school supplies to Anne Arundel County Public Schools. These book bags, designated for children enrolled in the free and reduced lunch program in Anne Arundel County, were delivered at the end of August, just in time for the new school year.
This year’s Book Bag Project benefited children at Brock Bridge Elementary, Freetown Elementary, Georgetown East Elementary, Harman Elementary, Marley Elementary, Maryland City Elementary, and Tyler Heights Elementary schools.
JLA specially thanks the following companies for their generous support and contributions: Office Depot, Target, Hudson Fouquet and Administaff.
Heather DeBuse, chair of the Book Bag project says, “This was truly a team effort! Without the community’s support, this project would not happen.”
