JUNIOR LEAGUE OF ANNAPOLIS, INC. ANNOUNCES NEW PRESIDENT

JLA is honored to have Lisa Snyder serve as President for 2009-2010 year

Annapolis, M.D. – [September 10, 2009] – Junior League of Annapolis, Inc. members elected Lisa Snyder to serve as President for the 2009-2010 year. Mrs. Snyder has been active in the League since 2001 and for the past eight years served in various leadership and Executive Board positions including Vice President for Membership, Vice President for Community Impact, President-Elect, Chair of Teen Empowerment and Mentoring (TEAM), and Chair of the Provisional Member Committee.

Professionally, she has 20 years of corporate finance and accounting experience and is employed as the controller for a local government contractor.  She maintains an active role in her children’s schools and various extra-curricular activities.  A life-long resident of Anne Arundel County, Mrs. Snyder resides in Davidsonville with her husband, Mike, and their two children.

As President Elect for the 2008-2009 year, Mrs. Snyder began setting her goals for the upcoming year.  During her term as President, her focus will be on continued leadership development for members via ongoing training opportunities, community project development, and fundraising projects.  Mrs. Snyder commented, “Keeping our members strong will in turn ensure a strong community.”
