Junior League of Annapolis is honored to have 16 Year Junior League veteran to serve as President for 2005-2006 year

ANNAPOLIS, MD. – [NOV. 10, 2005] – The Junior League of Annapolis recently elected Carole McFee Mendez to serve as the Annapolis League President for the 2005-2006 year. Mrs. Mendez has served in various Officer, Chair and Co-chair positions throughout her 16 year tenure with the Junior League and brings invaluable experience to her new position.

As President Elect for the 2004-2005 year, Mrs. Mendez was able to begin setting her goals for the upcoming year. She hopes to “provide greater community impact and development of [the league’s] members by doing more work in the community and giving our members more opportunities to develop their volunteer and leadership skills.”  Mrs. Mendez also notes that in honor of the Junior League of Annapolis’ 25th Anniversary this year, the Junior League of Annapolis plans to accomplish 25 “Done in a Day” projects, which work benefits the service area of Anne Arundel County.

Mrs. Mendez joined the Junior League in 1989 and has been affiliated with organizations in Michigan, New York and the Annapolis League since 1997. Her various positions include being a Board Member and Chair of the Public Affairs Committee in Michigan, Assistant Chair the State Public Affairs Committee of the Junior Leagues of Michigan; and a member of the Fund Development Committee in Junior League of Rochester, New York. As a member of the Junior League of Annapolis, Mrs. Mendez has served on the Fund Development & Evaluation Committee, has been both a committee member and Chair of the Cookbook Committee, held the position of the Secretary of the League of Annapolis for two years, and most recently, President Elect in 2004-2005.

Mrs. Mendez currently works as Vice President and Corporate Counsel for Ritz Camera Centers, Inc. in Beltsville, Maryland and resides in Anne Arundel County with her husband and three children.
