Junior League of Annapolis Announces First Lady of Maryland, Kendel Ehrlich, to Server as Honorary Chairwoman of Seventh Annual “Chefs By The Bay” Auction and Gourmet Tasting Fundraiser (1/25/06)

ANNAPOLIS, MD, [January 25, 2006] – First Lady of Maryland, Kendel Ehrlich, will serve as the 2006 ‘Chefs by the Bay’ Honorary Chairwoman. The Junior League of Annapolis, Inc. (JLA) is very excited to work with Mrs. Ehrlich this year in sponsoring the seventh annual “Chefs by the Bay” fundraiser on Sunday, March 26, 2006 from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. at the Sheraton Annapolis Hotel located at 173 Jennifer Road near the Annapolis Mall.

Chefs by the Bay 2006 will feature a gourmet tasting along with silent and live auctions featuring vacation home getaways, fine dining packages, and other exciting offerings.  Proceeds will benefit the programs of the JLA, whose recent projects include T.E.A.M. (Teen Empowerment and Mentoring) in conjunction with Anne Arundel Medical Center, Back-to-School Book Bag Project, Foster Parents’ Association Holiday Party, Done in a Day projects and Community Assistance grants.

Guests will enjoy entertainment and signature dishes from some of Anne Arundel County’s finest restaurants and chefs. Past participating establishments have included Annapolis Biscotti, Aqua Terra, Boatyard Bar and Grill, Caroline’s Cakes, Chartwell Golf and Country Club, Galway Bay, Hard Bean Coffee and Booksellers, Lindt’s Chocolates, Mexican Café, Northwoods Restaurant, Phillips of Annapolis, Reynolds Tavern, The Main Ingredient Café and Catering, Whitman’s Catering, and Whole Foods Market.
