Women Volunteer Award Nominations
Winner to Receive $900 Donation For Charity Of Choice
Annapolis (February 23, 2009)- The Junior League of Annapolis, Inc. (JLA) is seeking nominations for the Excellence in Volunteerism Award to recognize women who have dedicated themselves to community service in Anne Arundel County,. The JLA is accepting nominations through March 31, 2009. The winner will receive a donation of $900 toward their nonprofit, charitable or volunteer organization of choice. The award will be presented at a ceremony in April 2009.
This program honors women who contribute valuable time and energy to organizations and community programs in Anne Arundel County. The award is based on the nominees’ contributions to family support, arts, education, elderly, drug and alcohol abuse, environment, hospice efforts, disabled citizens, multi-cultural groups and civic associations, among other areas. In order to be eligible, the nominee must be a female, and currently live and volunteer in Anne Arundel County. Recipients are selected by a panel of judges consisting of previous winners and members of Junior League of Annapolis, Inc. Community Advisory Board.
