JUNIOR LEAGUE DONATES TO TEEN MOTHERS

Junior League of Annapolis Donates Baby Supplies to Teen Mothers

Annapolis, MD [April 25, 2008] – On April 5, 2008 Junior League of Annapolis, Inc. (JLA) presented  baby bags full of health, safety, and educational items to the attendees of the Anne Arundel Medical Center’s (AAMC) teenage birthing class to help the young mothers ensure their child has a healthy first year.

The baby bag project collected donations from Anne Arundel county residents, and Lord & Taylor, Wal-Mart and Weis Markets provided additional donations to help fill 17 bags for 2008 attendees of AAMC’s teenage birthing classes.

Each bag contains approximately $40.00 worth of health, safety and educational items including Your Baby’s First Year, Week by Week, by Dr. Gladys B. Curtis, thermometer, receiving blankets, pacifiers, CPR/First Aid information and the JLA Teen Resource Guide.
