What a great afternoon at Ulmstead Barn! The highly anticipated return of the Pigs & Pearls fundraising event was a huge success. Friends and family of Junior Leaguers ate, drank, and made merry in support of Junior League of Annapolis.
Face painting, crafts, balloon animals, photo-ops and dancing to the tunes of Annapolis Bluegrass Coalition and Brendan Kilrow were highlights of the event.
A BIG thank you to Pit Boys for their contribution of the delicious BBQ and freshly shucked oysters. Everyone was privy to several helpings of the scrumptious spread.
The climax of the event was the announcement of the winners of the raffle. Amazing prizes were up for grabs including contributions from the Bowie Baysox tickets, a Christmas tree from Hemlock Farms, a gift basket of Arbonne Beauty Products, Navy football tickets, and a stunning painting of the Pigs & Pearls logo provided by talented local artist Missy Dunaway. One of the big winners was Matthew Merical who walked away with not one, but two of the raffle prizes.
This Pig & Pearls event, launched by the JLA Gala Committee, is one of three fundraising events to be held this year. If this is any indication of what’s to come, stay tuned for another memorable event!
