“Women Who Make a Difference”

Excellence in Volunteerism Award

All applications must be received no later than March 31, 2009

Junior League of Annapolis, Inc., is an organization of women committed to promoting volunteerism, developing the potential of women and improving the community through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers. Its purpose is exclusively educational and charitable. It reaches out to all women of any race, religion, or national origin who express an interest in and a commitment to volunteerism. Junior League of Annapolis, Inc., is part of the Association of Junior Leagues, International, Inc.

Help Junior League of Annapolis, Inc., (JLA) celebrate Women Who Make a Difference by nominating someone who serves her community by giving her time and talents to help others.

The Excellence in Volunteerism Award honors women in Anne Arundel County who perform volunteer services for others in, but not limited to, the areas of family support, arts, education, elderly, drug and alcohol abuse, environment, hospice efforts, disabled citizens, multicultural groups, and civic associations.

Eligibility:

All nominees must be women currently living and volunteering in Anne Arundel County. Submit only one nominee per application. Group nominations will not be accepted. Incomplete, anonymous, or self-nominations will not be considered. All applications must be received by Junior League of Annapolis, Inc., by mail, fax, or email no later than March 31, 2009.

A panel of judges will select the winner and a $900 donation will be awarded to the winner’s nonprofit charitable or volunteer organization at the award ceremony in April, 2009.

Complete the following nomination form and attach any supporting information via mail, email or fax by March 31, 2008. All submissions become the property of JLA.
