Tickets for the Gourmet Tasting Gala Available Online

Annapolis, MD [March 4, 2010] – Junior League of Annapolis, Inc. is hosting the Chefs by the Bay 2010 gourmet tasting gala featuring local chefs, live and silent auctions, and live entertainment from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM on Sunday, March  21, 2010 at Loews Annapolis Hotel on West Street in Annapolis.  The event will feature 24 participating restaurants, the largest participation in the history of the event.

Attendees have the option of three ticket levels: first class ($125), business class ($85), or coach $65). First class guests will enjoy the perks of access to a private lounge and complimentary valet parking. Ticket prices increase the day of the event.

Participating restaurants include: Allison’s Restaurant, Azure, BB Bistro, Bartlett Pear Inn, The Bistro at South River, Breeze, Caroline’s Cakes, The Chop House, Gordon Biersch, Harbor House Restaurant, Lemongrass, Level, Luna Blu, Main Ingredient, The Melting Pot, Real Seafood Co., Reynold’s Tavern, The Rockfish, Romano’s Macaroni Grill, Rustico, Severn Inn, Sofi’s Crepes, Tsunami, and Wild Orchid.  Major event sponsors include Barefoot Wine, Junior League of Annapolis, Inc. Sustainers, M&T Bank, Porsche of Annapolis, What’s Up? Annapolis, Women’s OB/GYN and Zachary’s Jewelers.

Guest of Honor for the event is Jim Toomey, creator of Sherman’s Lagoon a nationally syndicated comic strip that appears in over 250 newspapers in North America and in over 30 foreign countries. He has also authored 16 books that are currently in print; 14 are collections and two are treasuries.

Auction items include a tropical getaway to the Grand Cayman, two roundtrip airline tickets on Southwest airlines, a Nickelodeon weekend, fine jewelry, photography packages, destination getaway packages, sports tickets and paraphernalia, health and beauty packages, kids and family packages, dining experience packages, and much more.

Proceeds from Chefs by the Bay benefit the ongoing community outreach programs of Junior League of Annapolis, Inc. which include It’s Educational!, Homeless Outreach, Children’s Literacy and Community Assistance Donations.
